a fundraising event

As a Non Profit Community Fundraiser to Promote Wellness, every dime of your donations go to benefit two local deserving entities that by the sheer nature of what they do for us in generously providing their time - promotes wellness year round.

1.  The Agness Volunteer Fire Department :  Not only will these Professional EMT Certified individuals be on the roadways to monitor the safety of the Run & Ride segments of this Triathlon, they are also on call 24/7 to respond to any personal emergency and 24/7 for fire – just dial 911.

2.  The Agness Community Library:   In addition to providing assistance to participants throughout race day, our sweet little library is a jewel in the woods.  Its volunteers provide Free Notary Service, Free Wi-Fi, Faxes, Story Hour, books on tape, DVD’s and more.   Their comprehensive website offers online links for a vast array of learning tools including tutorials for skills improvement, career certification/licensing exam preparation and more!  Check it out!

A few of us Agness folks enjoy walking and riding the peaceful roads along the water's edge of the amazing Rogue River.  Among us are those that live here year round and those that come for the summer and/or as often as time allows.  One individual in our midst, BJ Reed, was the source of inspiration for this Triathlon event. She has been competing in Triathlons for 10 years now and won 1st place in her division in the Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon in Hawaii in 2015. She is 79 years young, a retired teacher and is now inspiring others as a wellness coach.

We hope you will join us in this Community Fundraiser to Promote Wellness at our 8th  "Triathletes in Training from Bridge to Bridge" event.
